More than one in three women-35 percent worldwide-across all countries, regions, religions, and socioeconomic groups, have experienced violence in their lifetime. This is a major public health challenge and rights violation, with significant consequences for development.

On May 22, 2014, please join World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim, Nigerian actor and film producer Stella Damasus, and Italian playwright and actor Serena Dandini for the World Bank Group's launch of "1 in 3," a multidisciplinary exhibition hosted by the World Bank Art Program and partners featuring artists from Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East & North Africa, Latin America & the Caribbean, Eastern Europe & Central Asia, South Asia, and East Asia & the Pacific.
