Are you a woman, between 25 and 35, and from one of the Mediterranean countries?

The first edition of Women of the Mediterranean - WoMED - training will be held in Paris and Brussels from 1 June to 15 June 2015. Training will include modules on law, leadership, management and gender, and conflict resolution specifically designed for the program. 

Applications to participate in the training are open. Deadline for submission is 21 March 2015. A total of 22 women will be selected for the first cohort. The organizers will cover the following costs for those who are selected: 

  • Travel fare for one person (round trip to Paris)
  • Accommodation and lunches
  • Training materials (documentation, articles and papers for the training week)
  • Travel expenses to Brussels
  • Visa fees
  • Closing dinner

Eligibility criteria:

1) Nationality:

  • Algerian
  • Egyptian
  • Jordanian
  • Lebanese
  • Moroccan
  • Libyan
  • Palestinian
  • Tunisian
  • Syrian

2) Age: candidates must be between 25 and 35 years old

3) Language: demonstrate language level in the course of instruction by either:

  • Providing an official language certification taken within the last three years.
  • Attending an Skype interview with the Programme Manager.

Selection criteria

The potential candidates will be selected based on a wide range of criteria, such as early excellence in their professional field or a commitment to promoting equality in their domain of activities.

Candidates from the business, arts, culture, research, politics and humanitarian sectors will gather together and benefit from both applied and theoretical support to their careers.
