Gender in Agriculture Partnership

Transforming agriculture to empower women and deliver food, nutrition and income security

Video message of Prof. Catherine Bertini, GAP Co-Patron

In this video message, Prof. Catherine Bertini, Co-Patron of the Gender in Agriculture Partnership (GAP), underlines the importance of proper policies and programs in order to facilitate opportunities for girls and women to be able to grow and to be able to support their families.

She emphasizes the role of women as cooks and as the people in the family most dedicated to ending hunger in the household. She highlights their potential role in transforming economic and social realities in rural economies. There is great need for women in leadership to make their voice heard, and make gender concerns an integral part of policies and projects.
