WOCAN invites you to participate in the 'Reframing Leadership for Gender Equality’ course, to be held in Bangkok from 18-22 July 2016.
WOCAN has developed this powerful and effective course based on its extensive experience of gender mainstreaming and leadership development. Challenges that organizations face today require individuals to practice alternative ‘relational’ leadership which is suitable for both women and men, and support women’s leadership and gender equality. In general, leadership is largely conceptualized and practiced in “masculine” terms, which hinders gender equality and individual performance.
This course provides women as well as men with an opportunity to reflect upon and to challenge traditional notions of leadership within their organizations and personal lives, amongst a diverse group of international trainers and participants. It provides the knowledge and skills to strategically lead, through personal growth and development, building teams, and developing effective networks.
Over 200 women and men in Asia and Africa – including staff of the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), HIMAWANTI and the governments of Sri Lanka, Lao PDR and the Maldives have benefited. Link to testimonials
